fairyland

slants of moonlight fall on my dress as a twirl in the calm, firefly-lit meadow.

mint leaves hold my senses. clusters of blood red roses line the circle im prancing in.

a touch of clovers here, a tangle of violet lilacs there. young fir trees fill my views, owls captivate my ears. spinning, fumbling, giggling, i dance without limits.

i hover between elfland and reality.

"but isnt elfland reality?" i thought as i spot clusters of cornflowers dotting the ground.

it felt as if someone had decorated this meadow for me...then looking at the opalescent heavens, i realized Someone did.
