my current makeup routine//makeup chit chat

so hey. today i will be posting my current makeup routine (not to be confused with my daily makeup routine bc i dont wear makeup everyday) but this is the makeup i wear when i am going out all day or have classes and stuff. it is a full face of makeup, but it isnt full glam or anything. i use a lot of products, so at the end of the post i will have the product's links and prices:)

so lets start with base!!

i always moisturize my face before anything, since i have very very dry skin. i use the body shop's body butter, or coconut oil(srsly the best), and then go in with primer. i have been loving the becca backlight priming filter so so much! it doesnt dry my skin out and has the prettiest champagne color, and no chunky glitters...just the most stunning golden sheen. i apply this all over my face. the foundation i use varies, but i love the mary kay timewise foundation! im in the shade ivory 2. this foundation has very buildable coverage (one layer gives me a solid medium coverage but it can be built up to full) and it is so natural looking on the skin. it isnt a very dewy base, it isnt matte either though. i would call it a satin finish. anyways, after that i go in with my wet n wild photofocus concealer ((guys its the best and its four dollars) i set my face with the maybelline fit me powder in ivory. and that is the base of my makeup:)

now to the eyes!

i try to wear very peachy/orange tones a lot. i think it is flattering on me i dont know why, but. i usually go in with the two mattes from my soap and glory eyeshadow palette (called toasty and nudecomer) and apply those in my crease, dragging it out to give my eyes a more elongated look, then go in with the too-faced totally cute palette and use the orange shadow (bunny fu fu) to blend the edges out. i then use my finger to apply the colourpop supershock shadow in "birthday cake" on my entire lid. its a extremely pigmented pink glitery shadow, and i love it. it was limited edition, but all supershock shadows are only 5 dollars, so you should check them out. once i am done with that, i usually skip eyeliner (aint nobody got time fo dat) and apply the BEST. MASCARA. EVER. i discovered the maybelline lash-sensational while watching jamie paige (go subscribe boi) and she kept RAVING about it, and i was like "srsly. its only nine dollars." but i bought it. and i cant put it down. i neglect all my other mascaras now. if you want extreme volume and length in one coat, go buy it. its NINE DOLLARS. and it is also waterproof and i can honestly say this stuff never comes off! so yeah. i also like to go in on my lower lash line and buff the orange color really close to my waterline, and smudge it out a little for a more smoky look. ALSO i dont do my brows anymore (which is weird bc i have A LOT of brow products)...i am growing my eyebrows out right now and i have been so into the feathery brow trend that i just stopped filling them in. and i like the way it looks.

back to the face!!

i am not one to contour tbh. i used to contour a lot, but i dont think its that necessary. however, i will bronze...i will bronze like non-stop. i have the elf bronzer palette (it was four dollars at tjmaxx) and it is great! i am currently looking for another bronzer, because it isnt the best bronzer, but it gets the job done:) i love how some of the shades have slight shimmers in it for a really sun-kissed glowy look. i drag the bronzer from my cheekbones to my temples and on my jawline. and blush! i love the tarte blushes, but lately i cant put the wet n wild coloricon blushes down. like what? because tarte is essspeennssivvvee but these blushes are only two freaking dollars...and i might like them a lil more. i have been loving me a good peachy blush so i use the wet n wild coloricon blush in the shade "apricot in the middle" and WOW. it is so pigmented, buttery, amazing. 10/10 recommend. all the coloricon blushes are amazing though. once that is done, i go in with highlight (maybe my favorite part of makeup, idk) my favorite highlight right now is benefit's watt's up cream highlight. i apply it to my cheekbones, my nose, my chin, and my cupid's bow...and it is just so easy to blend out. you can get either a really intense look or a very natural looking highlight with this. it has a very golden undertone but it is light enough for pale people (like yours truly). then, i go in with setting spray so everything holds over the day. i love (like heart eyes emoji) the cover fx illuminating setting spray. its super dewy and smells so good. it really does set my makeup too.

to the lips!

i suck at keeping liquid lipsticks on, maybe i just havent found the right formula for me, but they are so drying to my already dry self. and in saying that, i love cream finishes, or glosses. lately i have been wearing just a plain old nude gloss (its from rimmel but kinda old so idk if its still available) or....i will apply my fave lipliners from the drugstore, the jordana easyliners (i usually use the shade rose crush) and top it with the urban decay lipstick in the shade "weirdo" and i love the combo! the formula on the urban decay lipsticks in the cream finish are great, and i find i can wear them all day without it feeling like my lips are dead. also, the maybelline colorsensational llipsticks are so so comparable. i love their nudes especially.

and thats a wrap!! here are the links and the prices if you wanna be twinsies:P
